We went to one of our favorite restaurants, Johnny Carino's. Peyton likes to hide from me when I'm trying to take pictures...

Some Christmas presents that haven't been played with yet (and may never be). You can't see some of them because of the glare...the Jenga has actually been played with (and she likes it), behind it is a puzzle, laying down is a game called Hiss, that hasn't been opened yet. On top of Hiss is a pair of cute slippers that will probably never been worn. The stocking has been emptied out and I'm assuming that she took out the "good" stuff...it's FULL of stuff that I guess was less desireable.

My sister, Christi, was late getting her Christmas package in the mail, so Peyton just got it today. This, of course, was her favorite thing in the box...it's a "leopard skin" rug. Peyton said that it's real...somebody shot the leopard, took all of the bones, guts, blood, etc. out, and put stuffing in (and that's what made him so soft and fluffy), and then patched the hole where he was shot. I told my sister that story and she said, "And she still wants to lay on it?!?!?!?" Well, of course she does...this is Peyton that we're talking about!

I took my new camera to gymnastics practice, so that I can see how it works for the type of photography that I want to do(Peyton's sports)...I've now decided that I'm going to have to figure out the manual settings if I'm going to get any decent shots at her meet in two weeks. I've just about decided that I'm going to have to spring for the DSLR after all.

This is a growing pile of items that Peyton has decided to store in the hallway. That's her bedroom door on the left, the guest room on the right...the guest room is actually more like Peyton's toy room... This pile started out as just two pair of shoes.

These are the cutest (and busiest!!) feet that I've ever seen.

First day back at school after the holidays...with work and school and gymnastics, there's not much time left in the day for anything else, although we did manage a quick trip to Julia's (Peyton's favorite restaurant) after gymnastics.

These three stuffed animals have been abandoned in our hallway for weeks now...I've asked Peyton about them and she said that they need to be cleaned because they stink...I've told her that they aren't likely to get cleaned with them laying in the hallway, but they are still there...I think I will just leave them and see how long they will stay there.
